If it's getting stuck at a trapdoor, thats most likely a client issue, not a script issue.

Be sure you setup a food profile and select that profile to the monsters you want to use the food with

You need  A light source (Lit bullseye lantern, sapphire lantern, emerald lantern or mining helmet) as mentioned in the first post
