teamviewer safe?

Featured Replies

is it safe to have somebody in control of my account with teamviewer? if i log in and they do whatever on my acount through it? im 100% new to people in control of my account and im hoping this is safe to do. i have a bank pin, recoveries and all that, transferred all my gold/ items to a mule.. anything else i should do? i basically just dont want to loose the account and it sketches me out to have somebody thats not me using my account

Always avoid using TeamViewer unless it is absolutely necessary. Try to always use the screenshare service provided by Skype instead. That way, people can only view your screen not control your pc.

They may have ran a keylogging program and recorded every single key you pressed.

I haven't had any issues with Teamviewer.

But you may want to be careful, since as stated above, he could have recoreded keystrokes.

Don't let them add or download any files

^Let a guy "download his private server" for me before and turns out if was a keylog and I lost accounts, emails..

well i was able to change my password =] so if so, the password recorded will be wrong biggrin.png

Just change your password after someone has done a service for you, best solution to problems like this.

what could happen if they take control of my computer? should i not do that?

Never had any problems with it. But be careful

lol its completely fine if they look like they are trying to download something/visit fishy websites hit the big turn off button on ur computer lol.

Aslong as they don't record key strokes you'll be fine, you can take full control within a second.

Teamviewer is 50/50. You need to just watch your bank and be careful.

I used to know a guy who knew how to black out the screen for the user being taken control of.

Don't forget you always have full control of the power to your computer, and can end the connection by disconnecting the power or the network (ethernet).

So I'd only let people you trust take control.

Just login before he goes on teamviewer that way he cannot record any keystrokes. If you are concerned then maybe babysit every once in a while. But from what I've seen its safe.
