I can type in the subject area, however I can't type anything in the message area. I've tried deleting the osbot cookies on my browser and that did not help. I also cleared my inbox

Go up to the messages tab in the top right corner, click it, and on the button that says Compose new, Right click that and open it in a new tab.

that works i suppose but that's kind of tedious to do every time I want to pm someone is there a way to fix?

@Easy Money we've had a few issues with IPB loading elements, I made a change on your account if you can clear your browser stuff again and let me know if it helps. If not I'll pass this along to Mald.

I did some more testing and I can pm any person with a rank of scriptor or admin. After resetting my settings it still doesn't allow me to pm regular ranks
