You should just be able to change the keybindings, no?

 This involves me manually doing it all, which I am very new to pc gaming and never have done it. There are custom controllers on pubg and I would like one of those.

I play xbox, i know the controls, which is why i want them identical on my PC to use the same contols.

On your browser, type "steam://controllerconfig/578080/1099452602" and open it using the Steam Client option.

That was before it even came out on xbox, so clearly the controls won't be the same.

This guy puts it pretty well within 30 seconds (Linked to exact time in the video ) Sorry I don't have the exact .CFG configuration file for you, But after following that video the Settings get applied.
There is a community file for the o.g Xbox controlls your looking for, But this is the only way to apply them.
