Suggestion - Break handler

Featured Replies

1. A description of the suggestion - The break handler as of right now is in my opinion way too simple.

2. How will this suggestion impact scripters and/or botters?
It will allow players to have more unique breaks for their bots

3. Post any examples such as code or pictures to supplement your description (optional)

I would like it to be more randomized and more advanced, this is what osbot break handler offers:

At the moment, the bot will mostlikely repeat the same breaks over and over again with a break/play time about the same.
I suggest improving it to something like this (another bot client):

5e0c6b897700490fbcfbf914ab31c0f6.png

The botter will have the ability to create their own unique breaks

Explanation and example:

2662b7c4c0964e73910ebb7bd64b47ff.png

Runtime: The botter can decide for how long time the bot will play before taking break - In this case the bot will without randomness play for 3:42:42 HH:MM:SS
Randomness:  The botter can choose the randomness of how long time the bot will play before taking a break - In this case the bot will play for anything between +- 43:25 aka 2:59:27-4:26:17 total play time

Duration/Break time: Enter for how many  HH:MM:SS the bot will take a break - In this case 19:25

Randomness: Randomness of break - In this case +- 5:25 aka will take break for a total of anything between 14:00-24:50

Occurrence: Once or repeat -
Repeat: You can use the same break settings over and over although the runtime and break time is still different because of the randomness.
Once: This break setting will only be used once, after that break the bot will no longer take breaks, or you can add multiple other breaks like this:

G2g now, I'll edit later

E: It should also be possible to make different profiles, which have different settings

We had something like this before, however botters were too confused on how to set up breaks. I know I'm going to hear the argument, "Well just add the advanced mode for people who want it". Additionally, the only reason for all of this is "randomness".

Personally, I liked the idea of setting up time (based on perhaps your computer's local time) on when to bot.

If someone can't use logic to figure out an advanced break manager to help protect their account(s)..then maybe they shouldn't be botting and odds are, they are not your target clientele as OSBot survives off of donations, premium scripts, and VIP+ purchases..

I like this idea as well

Agreed should look into adding this.

Yeah people who can't figure it out shouldn't use it then. The people who want to bot successfully will learn how to use it. Nothing comes easy.

@Alek An option for script writer to overwrite the break handler would also be a good idea!

For example when doing nightmare zone

The game takes about 3-4 hours
If break handler is enabled the bot will stop the NMZ game after for example 2 hours even though the game would last 2 hours longer. I don't know how to explain, but basicly the script writer should have the ability to execute the break handler before/after a certain action. In the example above, the script would overwrite the break handler untill the bot is no longer in the nightmaze zone minigame - then it would execute break handler

That break handler looks similar..... ;)

Looks like its from some other bot who doesn't get any better "ban rates" than us.

Also, I have to design the product around our core customer base.

hmmm, lol its not hard but what id like to see is have a bot for this long then break and also an option for break for this long and then bot so i can work around jagex's hours and my crazy schedule without feeling like im going to lose bot time or get banned because im botting at the wrong times.

but having it time based would be good too.

Never said anything about better ban rates. However i do agree the break handler is too simply and does not offer any type of randomization. Will be cool when something with more variety is implemented! :)<3

There is a randomize option.

I never said it was hard though

I do think this would be a great idea but I could also see them needing a sub forum JUST for people who can't figure it out and then members of the community complaining about how it is too "difficult" to understand.

I think people who can't figure out how to use complicated break timer can always ask about it in forums. Since OSbot has an active, friendly community they shouldnt have hard time understanding it. Some of us can make a tutorial about it. I remember old break option and it was handy and sufficient and would love that to make a comeback. @Alek

But how randomized is it? The option for it is pretty vague. Just curios, thank you. <3
