Alright guys thanks for the input. Mainly Diclonius, dude you helped me so much. Hope I can repay you someday.
If anyone has anymore input feel free to throw it out there I'm all ears.

MSI makes great motherboards. Also go for something better than the 7770. the 7870 is a really nice card, plus you can crossfire them when it gets too slow for games. Or you could pickup a gtx 660 or 760. Two very nice cards as well. When I built my first computer, I cheaped out of the video card and it was the worst decision I ever made. Now I have two 7970's tongue.png

if you build this computer, you won't regret it.

As for the above spec I love every choice EXCEPT for the MSI GTX 760 oc edition. For better performance (and looks in my opinion) go with the Palit GTX 760 JetSream version. Benchmarks are much better than the MSI one, cooling is better and it costs the same so it's a no-brainer!

How are the benchmarks better if it uses the same chip?

The MSI card has a higher core clock than that anyway.  But not that that matters, because you can overclock your video card as you please.

Do you have a budget for the total machine, and what parts you need and don't need?

Take a look for yourself.

For the graphics cards, they are all just the same card but branded differently. I suggest just getting the cheapest one unless reviews etc suggest that it is unreliable. I know that it is an alright card (the 7770) and will run the vast majority of games with no problem.

Also did you buy one or two sticks of that RAM? 4GB will easily be enough but alot of computers nowadays have 8GB.

I'm looking at this one simply because of all the feedback is very good.

And I bought only one stick because I'm trying to go as cheap as possible. While not sacrificing to much on quality.

I can always upgrade this later right?

Well this one is quite bit cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131477R. But go with what you feel is best. I have a card by powercolour and it works fine.

As for RAM. 4GB is more than enough. I have 8GB and the most I have ever used under normal circumstances is about 3GB and that is with alot of stuff running. Also yeah you can always upgrade later and if you do, chances are RAM will be cheaper by the time you upgrade.

Hmm I think I'll stick with the 89$ one just because the powercolour one is open box and I'd be screwed if it was missing anything because I really have no idea what to expect.  And yea I probably will upgrade the RAM later on.

Do you have any opinions on Motherboards, processors  or Power supply?

just wanted to add something to this: when upgrading ram you'll need 2 of the same memory sticks, else dual channel is going to bottleneck bigtime

Thanks man good to know. I'll keep that in mind if I choose to upgrade in the future.

Guys read the thread, he has already purchased some parts and he doesn't want to spend too much...

Yea lol I'm trying to keep it under 400$

Your going to get what you payed for. Guarentee your AMD processor and mother board crap out on you within the year. Go intel, just a bit more money but u wont regret it.

No that's incorrect. Running an AMD processor and same cheap mobo for around 3 years now. Will be upgrading chip soon to AMD FX 8350 because for the money they are worth it!

lol GTFO fanboy. On a budget, AMD is a much better choice than Intel. As for saying it's going to break, it's just as likely to break as an intel CPU (which is still pretty unlikely). OP just ignore this guy.
