interesting thing to note @RDM, off topic from OSRS but this also applies to the sqwheel of fortune and the in app purchases that they had implemented aswell.

Bonds for GP incrases player time of people online. It was a great move by jagex and kept a lot of players that would rather grind for membership than pay 5$ a month for it. 

They really skimmed over the fact, most of the community left over their eoc fuck up

It's like you could tell they were all thinking it, but no one wanted to say it haha. I enjoyed the documentary though brought back a lot of old memories!
