Client Instability

Featured Replies

Team,

I've been having a pretty constant half second lag spike every 10-15 seconds. Nothing to do with my connection to the network or the runescape servers lagging. It's a noticeable client issue. The client freezes for half a second and then goes back to being normal.

1. OSBot Version (do NOT put "current version", be specific)
2.4.112

2. A description of the issue. Include relevant logs.
Client has random freezes every 15-20 seconds during a script. It'll freeze for approx .5 seconds.

3. Are you receiving any errors in the client canvas or the logger?
Negative.

4. How can you replicate the issue?
Just running Fruity's Zulrah script.

5. Has this issue persisted through multiple versions? If so, how far back?
No.

Computer Specifications:

i5 6600k
GTX 1080
8GB of RAM

Regards,

Mitch

Hey, would you mind taking a look at the template? It has some pretty important questions in there like "When did the issue first start appearing", etc. Thanks!

happening to me as well

most of the bot scripts can't toggle run too, I dunno if this is client issue lol, just saying :)

The lagging is not osbot's fault but runescapes fault. Depending on where you live, you will get constant DC's. I for one, cannot even login on my home ip. I have to use a VPN for my bots to connect to Miami and I've had no lag at all.  As for the Osbot and scripts, there are problems. Many of them have been reported and this update had broken some functionality of my scripts which were working 100% fine before. I'm not sure if the RS servers are screwing it up (doubt it) or the client just somehow broke itself with some features. The run energy has been confirmed a bug and will hopefully be fixed soon.

It's not a server sided issue. I'm not lagging in-game. This is the client literally FREEZING for half a second (no loading bar in the top left of the RS client either) every 10-15 seconds or so. I know that RS itself is facing DDoS attacks, but this isn't the result of such.

I'm having the same issue

yep im pretty sure its not rs side for me as i run both osbuddy and osbot side by side. osbot runs smooth while osbot slows down from time to time.

Oh I see. Actual lagging in the client. It doesn't lag  like that for me. It only does that when you are not focused on the client (which is done to probably save CPU). But once you click on the client, it's lagg free for me. I've never seen it freeze and all.

Running 50+ bots fine and my partner is running a good amount too with no issues

I can run multiple bots as well, but they all have this slight client freezing issue. All the scripts run fine as well. I did a fresh install of windows and it still does it. It's just an eye catcher. The number of bots seems to not effect it at all.

Oh well I don't sit at my computer watching my bots so I don't really notice

Sounds like a full GC is happening a bit too often, or something is being ran in the paint loop that stops rendering. This should be brought up with the Scripter of the script.
