Alek said he might look around at it and see if it's good to add to the api (don't take that as he'll add it for sure because im sure it's easy to integrate it anyway without it being supported in the api) :p

Yeah any scripter can easily add it to a script themselves :P 
Took me 5 minutes to find out how to do it haha. 

Alek said he'll be adding it soon though as an API

yeah

Keyboard.holdKey(VK_SHIFT);

Inventory.getItem("Gun").click(true);

Keyboard.releaseKey(VK_SHIFT);

 

Havent used api in a while so no clue if keyboard has that function but if not you could always grab the actually keyboard class, and just dispatch the event itself than do the click than redispatch.
