Wu Tang Cummins Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I've heard about NetBeans, and IntelliJ, are there other ones out there that are better? Maybe more user-friendly? Thanks.
Diclonius Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) I think the most commonly used one is eclipse. It's what I use . There seems to be little debate over which IDEs are better. I think most people just use what they started with. Edited August 12, 2013 by Diclonius
Doout Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Give all of them a try and see which one fix you the best. For me, I use IntelliJ for 1/4 of the time and when it come to scripting for RS I use it 90% of the time.
Boots Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 They make us use textpad in university, but outside of that I always use intellij
Cory Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Intellij Idea, eclipse's code completion is retarded and slow.
Solution Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 there is no "best" IDE(altough theres a obvious top 3 orso, don't try crap like blueJ) it's an opinion. I prefer to work with intelij, some prefer eclipse because they're more comfortable working with that, i'd say give some a try, and see what you work better with.
Illumi Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Eclipse. IntelliJ is so overrated, it's not funny lol
GoldenGates Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Ready to Program Java all the way. jk, I switch between Eclipse and IntelliJ every so often.
