for me it really isn't. the difference between 1 and 2 is HUGE, and the difference between 2 and 3 is s till pretty big, it starts to become excessive at 4+

Really depends on what you do with your pc.

I multitask a lot so 3 doesn't seem excessive at all to me.

I prefer one big ass tv instead. also opera master race.

eh one big thing is still 1 monitor at 1080p probably, so its the same as a small monitor you just see it bigger... :/

I use to have 3 1080p monitors but never found my self using them. So i just bought one really good one

 

1440p GSYNC 144hz monitor 

I've got 3 its pretty sweet. Main one in the middle for w/e I'm doing at the minute, monitor on the left for idle processes (torrenting/reading ect) and another one on the right for media consumption, idk how people live with only 2 or god forbid one.
