There are 2 ways to do this:
1. The easy way with the media tags.
2. The slightly harder but still easy way with the code.
 
Method 1:

NOTE:To do method 1 it requires JavaScript to be enabled in your post/reply which we can toggle it here  <-- this means JavaScript is enabled which is what we need! You can find this button  at the top left of the post/reply options by the font selector. 
 
Step 1: find an image you want to use, I am going to use the Dark Side Of The Moon cover for this:

Step 2: find the url of the image you want to use, this is the one for Dark Side Of The Moon:

Step 3: Click this button:  which can be found under the font colour editor and the emoticons: 
Step 4: When the box comes up paste in the URL you are using: 
Step 5: Click "OK" and it should show your picture like so:

 
Step 6: ?????
Step 7: profit

 
Method 2:

NOTE:You can do method 2 with JavaScript enabled if you want but it may not work as the forum board my auto change some settings..
 
Step 1: find an image you want to use, I am going to use the Dark Side Of The Moon cover for this:

Step 3: You need to use the image code to get the forum to know what you are doing:

and with a link:

Step 4: ?????
Step 5: profit

 

For a Youtube video:

Step 1: Find a video URL you want (I am using Dark Side of the Moon) and just paste it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi1sBwV1-tU

 

If this happens: you need to "unlink" it by clicking somewhere within the URL and hitting this button:
