So can you be banned for ahk?

Featured Replies

I've heard both ways, and was just curious does anyone know for a fact whether or not it is bannable.

Yes, Jmods have said many times that any use of AHK can warrant a ban. Windows mousekeys or the mousekeys built into OSBuddy are perfectly legal.

If it's 1:1 no but if you're gonna abuse AHK to make multi step macros then gg

Wrong. Although most legit people do 1:1 and are normally fine, you can't just say "no". They have said multiple times that any use of AHK can lead to a ban.

you realistically wont get banned if you use it in a way that you coudl do the same with windowsmousekeys.

But they can still ban you at any time and you are fucked because you used ahk.

Basically if you do more than relative mousemovements or mapping your left and rightclick to keys you are risking a ban

Where have they said this?

pretty sure rank 1 thief  used this and got unbanned alot of times by jagex cause they said its fine

For your average player though who can't access Jmods through twitter or reddit then it's really not worth risking using ahk imo, regardless of input ratio. Doing sporadic mouse movements in such short time frames is probably not wise.

like lava rcing w/ seers diary vs dropping willow logs could be an example of the variance im thinking leads to detection.

It gets quashed if you were banned and used 1:1

Any macro ing is bannable. there was this video of a guy who was banned because he used a metronome to click his mouse.
