Just wondering what is better for botting a vpn or a proxy? Are they the same thing or which one is better?

Hello guys. I'm new to botting and I want to know if it's safe to bot on the same network/IP address as my main while not utilizing VPNs or proxies. I'm running my 4 bots on a separate pc from my main. My main also had a 1 day minor ban back in 2017 (quashed/expired now).. Should I be using VPNs/proxies? My budget is pretty low for expensive services. What do you guys recommend?

I can't access the RS account creation page whilst using Express VPN, so I create the account using my phone / mobile data. Log into new account as normal, get towards the end of tutorial island when the account gets locked, as it is suspected stolen. Only way to unlock account is via email, but I don't want to connect the account with an email, as I'm looking to sell the accounts later. - Sorry if this has been spoken about before, new to the forum

So I'm a computer science major trying to set up a gold farm to pay my tuition (hence the name lol) but I had some questions before I start. First off I apologize if this question has been asked before but I tried to search and didn't find anything that directly answered my question. I was wondering if chain bans pertain to the IP address that you are actively bot the accounts on or if it is the creation IP. I was planning to make the accounts at my Uni and then bot them on a proxy. Will it matter that I created all of the accounts on the same IP even though I'm playing each of them on different IPs via Proxy? Should I be creating the accounts whilst using a proxy as well? Sorry if this is an obvious question I just want to make sure I completely understand the way Jagex does chain bans before investing in a proxy just to have the accounts chain banned due to them all being created on the same IP, resulting in all of the proxy IPs being flagged as well. Thanks for any input everyone

So I have f2p accounts I bot on and a main I don't on the same IP address. I started reading about IP/VPN/Bans and I didn't want my main to get banned and ruin my home IP so I just downloaded a VPN. If I am flagged on my home IP and change to a VPN what difference will it make? and if I am not flagged? Also another question; logging onto a bot client with your main but not using a script?

I have 3 botting accounts collecting resources to then give them to my main account. With this there is risk of ban if my main account is connected from time to to take what made the other 3? I should connect my main to another ip to make this tradeo?. If I do not there is a risk of contracting ban ?. If you know of any vpn, to be able to use with my main account, please tell me. Thanks to those who bothered to enter the post, I would appreciate you to solve my doubt :).
