Why have yet another PiP when can include the limited exception Local Script Writers? I think the term "Script Writer" Also sounds a lot more prestigious than "SDN Scripter".

I was giving the option for Local Scripters to have the rank, not sure what the problem is.

Hey guys, This will be my second proposal. Hopefully we get some better feedback. Name Changes Official Script Developer > Script Developer SDN Script Developer > Script Writer Rank Changes Exceptional local script writers will have the option to become a script writer without having a script on the SDN. These local writers will be handpicked once a month by an Administrator, Bot Developer, or Script Manager. Alternatively, they may receive the rank upon making a successful SDN script.

The person who was supposed to help run it with me, never helped run it. Instead he's going through a frenzy of relationship issues and can't concentrate at all (or help). It was too much to manage alone.

It seems as if the SDN Scripters are currently very unhappy with the proposed changes, so hopefully my next proposal can be something that everyone is happy with. Thank you for your input and great feedback. -Alek

The motivation should be turning a profit. I still haven't been addressed on why a scripter needs more tabs? I could settle for 3 and OSD unlimited. 4+ tabs is essentially gold farming at that point.

Is it that much less desirable? The real desire is the ability to make money, which is equal between OSD and SDN Scripters. There are tons of members on here who have pulled in serious money as an SDN Scripter. Most OSDs were good SDN Scripters that made decent revenue to get to where they are today, with probably the exception of Brainfree who is a math wizard.

I'm not sure I follow you Eliot. The opposite would be: VIPs undermining the value of SDN Script Writers by paying money to use a service? Why do SDN Script Writers need unlimited botting tabs? I've release a handful of scripts, and never have I needed to use more than 2 botting tabs. To get to the point where you are today, you had to use one before you got the unlimited. Everyone here has started off as a normal member.

I've been reading posts about SDN Script Writers having unlimited tabs for releasing a simple free script on the SDN, undermining the value of VIP. The real value is the ability to sell scripts through the SDN, that should be the motivating factor.

Toph was never promoted because I was waiting to see if he would maintain his scripts or leave. He left, and therefore was never promoted to OSD, a great call on my part.

Your mandatory 6 hour proggy required for script release shows that your script is thoroughly tested. Showing that 10 bots can run your script for less than an hour means nothing. Should I increase the proggy requirement from 6 to 12?

Toph was an SDN Script Writer and made more money than a good portion of our OSD's, I think your argument is a bit misguided.

Currently the only difference between a SDN Script Writer and an OSD is the PIP (permission wise). Getting the ranks: 1. The application for OSD is very vigorous, very selective, sort of a lengthy process, and only picks the best in the business. 2. SDN Scripters get their rank by submitting any working script on the SDN. Their compensation as of now is exactly the same for both, essentially Lifetime Sponsor. Many members of the community are concerned with SDN Script Writers de-valuing their $10 payment. With that said, I feel the SDN Script Writer compensation presented above, is fair. SDN Script Writers also have the potential to earn the same amount of money that an OSD does.

Penalizing? You are getting an extra botting tab for free. You are also eligible to receive the same exact compensation as OSDs.

SDN Scripters + OSD are currently equal to Lifetime Sponsors. I want to limit SDN Scripters to less than VIP (but still much more notable than normal member), and I want the prestiguous OSDs stay the same.

"Normal" members can be upgraded to Script Writer from either: 1. Making a script that gets accepted onto the SDN 2. Have an exceptional local script Demotions: Demotions will continue as they are. Script Writers will lose their status when they fail to maintain the standards which they were promoted for.
