Have you noticed that the game is cheap? (3€ during sales every couple of months etc.) It's because the game is mainly funded by the keys. Also the keys/skins help Esports which is great. You don't gain anything from skins which is good, if they would effect gameplay now that would be dumb as fuck. (Read pay2win)
