I do. I try to respond to as many scripting problems as I can. But if someone comes in with a scripting problem, they just ask everyone. If there was a scripter name color, they could focus their questions towards them, or even PM them.

It's not like I'm asking for a bunch of benefits. I'm asking for a colored name. :| People don't know you as a scripted until you either tell them, or if they've bought one of your scripts. But when people come into chat and ask for help, it encourages them to know they're being helped by someone who has a script on the SDN. A colored name would help this out. This isn't a huge benefit. This wouldn't be a whole lot of work to add. All it will do is encourage people to keep SDN scripter rank (for the colored name and recognition) it will help new scripters to find out who to ask for scripting help (especially on issues with SDN) it will give more recognition for those who have scripter rank. I honestly can not see one downside to adding this other than "We have to remove it every time someone stops updating their script" which should be automated. If it isn't, then it should take someone 5 minutes to automate it.
  3. Nezz replied to Nezz's topic in Archive
Then why give any benefits at all? You guys should have a script that adds/removes benefits for ranks given. This is an automation site. If you're telling me you do this by hand, I'm going to be disappointed. :| Or make it harder for a script to get on the SDN. For instance: Require at least one script on the free SDN for a month before allowing them to put in a premium SDN script. SDN scripter rank should only be given to premium SDN scripters. Or as Swizz suggested, a trial rank. But all I'm asking for is a colored name. ;-; ^On that note, if someone adds a free SDN script, they're getting VIP for free.
  4. Nezz replied to Nezz's topic in Archive
I did apply. Alek has been telling me the last few nights that he will look at applications, but hasn't. The only benefit you're giving me for buying VIP is a name color. Like I said, it's not that I don't appreciate it. I just don't understand why you guys refuse to add it.
  5. I realize I suggested this a while ago. But new information recently came to me that I didn't know, and that I believe supports the name color even more: 1. SDN Scripters get multiple bot tabs. FOR FREE. 2. SDN Scripters get no ads. FOR FREE. 3. SDN Scripters have access to VIP/Sponsor/etc forum page. FOR FREE. SDN Scripter = VIP but with no name color change. You're telling me I have to pay ten dollars/month for a colored name? Because that's literally the only benefit you're offering me. Sure, I get 10% off scripts, but 90% of the time I just write my own if I need it, and if I'm going to purchase a script I'm happy to pay the full 100% to support the scripter and osbot. Shit, I'd rather pay 100% so that you guys don't take away from their money to pay for the VIP sponsorship. I don't see the problem of giving SDN Scripter a colored name. I really don't. It can't be that much work to add it. All I want is a colored name. :| And if you're going to say no because "OSD has colored name" then make the OSD application process better, because Alek has been telling me he'd go through applications for the few days, but hasn't. Frost's has been there since February 28th. If you counted the 30% you take from my scripts as donations, I'd be yellow, on my way to 500. Yet you're *still* telling me I don't deserve a colored name? Benefits of adding a colored name: Recognizable in chat. Easier for new people to find someone to ask for help. A name that actually means something more than "I gave money to osbot" It would make me (and I'm sure a lot of other scripters) happy. Note: It's not that I am not grateful for the benefits offered by SDN. I just disagree that you have to pay to get a colored name.

I shiggy dig that achievement idea. Otherwise usernames, scripts run/user, total xp, start date, total run time
  7. This would be extremely helpful. Any idea on when/if it will come into play?
  8. My post makes a lot of sense. Selling a jar = selling a private script, which is against the rules. If you bought a jar as a private script, you could decompile it to get the source code. AKA you bought source code. But you're telling me that you can sell source code. So if I was to write a private script, I could write the script, sell it to someone, and that's not against the rules? But I can't sell the jar. Just the source code. Which is inside the jar. Make sense yet, or would you rather I spell it out more?
  9. Nezz replied to Kittens's topic in Archive
I'm working on helping Verified out with his problem.
  10. ..so you can sell source code but you can't sell a jar that can be decompiled into source code?
  11. 7.99 - 7.79 = .20 pls, Verified Your 15% discount is being applied. by 3%
  12. Nezz replied to Kittens's topic in Archive
No, the price is wrong. lel VIP discount = 10% 10% of 4.99 = .49 = price costs 4.50 instead price costs 3.59 or w/e my screen shot says.

  14. Making a difference between premium and free SDN scripts is pointless. There is no "moving up the ladder" the first SDN script I released was premium. The only SDN scripts I've released were premium. There is literally no difference between putting up a free SDN and a premium SDN script. (other than you get paid) I like adding scholar. I still say SDN Scripters should get a colored name. Other than adding scholar and giving colored name for SDN Scripter, I disagree with this post.

I realize == isn't as accurate as .compareTo or .equals. but it's similar to the idea of "is" and "==" they both mean the same thing, just one works better than the other in different situations. Like I said, I use .compareTo in pretty much all the rest of my code. Moreso since the first time == failed on me. It's been 2 years since I've used Java, man. Give me a break. But again. If all you're going to do is say "why are you doing it like this, it's so stupid.", don't comment. Constructive criticism is always welcome. If you disagree with how I'm doing it, please explain why and give an example of how you might do it. Otherwise all that's going to happen is you'll look like a cock, and my code will stay the same. Thanks.
  17. Nezz replied to Nezz's topic in Snippets
I use .compareTo in most cases. This was an earlier method I used and it worked so I didn't see the need to replace the ==.

If you guys aren't going to be constructive, don't comment. =/
  19. You can use client.getMenu() and cycle through options to find the one you want. Or you can check to make sure the entity you want is on top. Or you can just change your camera angle to one where you won't click on the wrong thing.
  20. I mean, a majority of the message is your wc level. If RS is going to ban based off people saying that, then gg every wcer in existence. The second half of it could be modified relatively easily. Just put a super generic message like "You?" or "u" or juts say your wc level and don't respond anymore. lol Having something complicated like actually responding to the question, yeah. That wouldn't work. But to say your wc level should be fine. And that's what I meant by adding custom messages. Maybe record when the last time you said your wc level, so you'll say it at most once every 5 mins. Keep track of who said it to you last so one person can't just spam you.
  21. All the people saying "Don't do this it'll do this or that" don't listen to them. lol I don't think any of them realized this isn't finished code. If you made it more randomized, went through all the workaround, etc. I think it would work. Especially if you had a section in your GUI that had a "Custom Reply" text area. Then people could write their own messages, making it even better. Personally, I like this idea. But if you have > 20 people running your script, you'll either need the custom messages, or you'll need a *lot* of default ones to choose between. :P But yeah. I support this idea, m8.

Jesus christ. You get kicked from chat and immediately make a thread assuming it was a mod? Did you even try to refresh the page? Did you perhaps think that maybe you were afk too long? or that you just lost connection? Holy shit. I can't even comprehend what went through your head to think making this thread was a good idea.
  23. My goal isn't to make my own inventory class. It's just a custom method to interacting with an item in your inventory. It uses osbot api, but it uses osbot api that works consistently. I don't see an issue with that.
  24. http://osbot.org/forum/topic/28798-pandemics-scripting-series-part-i-setup-and-basic-logic/ http://osbot.org/forum/topic/29924-pandemics-scripting-series-part-ii-path-walking-and-simple-banking/ Go through both of those, multiple times if you have to. Those are where I started for scripting. If you want help with Java in general, I suggest going through thenewboston's tutorials: http://thenewboston.org/tutorials.php If you have any questions feel free to PM me. lol'd
