Def don't alch regular do MTA alching only better xp hr than reg alching and cheaper for most items and way cheaper than alching longbows. Also you can make camelot tabs for a profit. I made house tabs to 93 mage which are a lot slower than camelot so you shouldn't have a problem with cammy.

Range level and bonus I think. A lot of people use longbows there so I'd assume its because bonus helps.

Well you're fucked if you don't want to train at rock crabs or expirements. You can try flesh crawlers but have fun with that unless you're looking to make a few hundred k off the herbs. You could, if you want to level up agility and fishing, do barbarian fishing it is only about 4-5k strength exp per hour but you also get 4-5k agility per hour and 40-50k fishing. If you were to get 99 fishing there you would get 75 attack and agility and no hp exp at all so you would be like a soul wars prod in pre-eoc.
