Dang! How disappointing! I super appreciate your guys' effort, especially coming up with such a sweet client(mirror mode). So dont mean to sound ungrateful, but I wish it would take the same CPU as regular. Guess I'll have to end up taking my chances with normal mode. Thanks for responding to my thread.

Yesterday I tested how many bots I could do(for fun). Got to 10 and it wasn't even lagging. But on the Chat Box someone said that it was bugged and eats memory? Anyone elaborate on that? Just checked my CPU usage. 3-4 mirror modes 100%, i7 3.4ghz processor. Yesterday though i was running 10 normal mode and didnt even crack 50% cpu.

Trying out the mirror clients and at about 3-4 clients then the new ones that I load connect to a different account already up instead of the one I've got ready on the login dashboard. So to better explain imagine: I have one mirror client running fine. I get a second RS login screen all ready to go for the mirror mode. I then start mirror mode, it says loading hooks, but then instead of my RS login screen, I get the first account and it freezes it. Tried every browser, and RS client.

Wow. Another good to know. Is that why these mining scripts mine at half speed? literally instead of clicking the next rock they wait for one to spawn or just randomly click another. No consistency. I should see if it works without mirror mode.

Haha yea I went for it. Have to see how much good it does me. I think I'll try just that, power off router tonight see if my ip changes.

Good advice, only issue is apparently my router is trash and won't let me access the properties I need to change my ip. sad day

Thanks for response. You're saying that mirror mode provides more protection than an ip flag takes away?

So now I have VIP I have access to mirror mode, but mirror mode doesn't support proxies. I believe my IP is flagged since I had a temp then perm ban on two accounts in short(few day) succession. So my question is, is it safer to use the mirror mode without proxy, or use a proxy without mirror mode?

Thanks for replies. I definitely wasn't botting 50 hrs straight. I botted 6 hrs, and not even consecutively. I do need a proxy and to play legitly till I'm less of a suspect I guess.

I also thought so. Need to change ip/get proxies if I'm going to continue. Yeah I'm just about to, if everyone wasn't saying it was buggy and non-working I would've already. Also, I'm wondering what the bandwidth/cpu usage of the mirror mode is compared to regular? Thanks for advice. How long have you been botting those three accounts? And at what point do you consider your accounts "legit" enough to bot? How many hrs a day do you bot each? Proxy/no proxies?

Banned in a day. Started osrs with a username login account I had, so it wasn't a straight up new account. Got a few cb lvls (lv 29). Mined a bit. Approx. 6 hrs total botting time over yesterday and today. Perma banned. I guess that confirms the "Don't bot straight away. Play legitly for a while first theory" At least it confirms that not doing that increases chances of being banned. Disheartening seeing how much EFFORT it takes when the goal is to put little to no effort. One weird thing is that I pretty much did the identical thing with another account and it lasted 3 weeks before it got banned. 6 hrs vs 150 hrs bot time. **FYI: I search and delete the random.dat file every day I always like to read people's experiences to get a better grasp on the patterns of being banned and being safe. Yeah, I'm super bummed. I'd love to still play this game, but I just can't justify spending the hours I used to. And if it's going to cost me money on top of my time then I definitely can't justify wasting my time. Going to try again once my ban expires a bit more safely and if I'm banned then I think it'll be the last time I try RS for nostalgia's sake.

Thanks for responses guys. If I do get the mirror mode from VIP and use proxy is the ban-rate really substantially lower? Seems like (reading around these forums) plenty of people are getting banned even with these precautions. Are those people are just fishing catherby/chopping willows/etc 24/7 or are ban-rates high no matter what?
