I'd get the head unit sorted first. Maybe worth having a look at it yourself to try save yourself some money, might just be loose wiring or dirty connections. I had a similar issue with my head unit and i pulled it apart to find moisture inside of it and i just used a spray can that absorbs moisture. Also with the rims (wheels) i would go for option 3 and definitely get them black.
