I had the beta on my 5s before I switched to my s5, and there was hardly any difference between ios 7 and ios 8. Dealing with the bugs for a month wasn't worth it, since hardly anything changed

I bought my iPhone 5s for ~$250 around the time it came out. I just upgraded to a Galaxy S5 about a month ago and that was around $250 as well. so..
