My guess would be that no one has reported that they're broken, & the admins don't use every single script (given they even bot themselves), so they won't find out on their own.

Report here that the script is broken - http://osbot.org/forum/forum/146-report-broken/ Also include the fact that you've contacted the scripter numerous times about it and you've gotten no response & he hasn't fixed the issues.

I'd say ~12 hours or so. He isn't selling it. & depends on how intense you bot it.

The only way to get free apps would be via jailbreak. You could always buy an itunes card off someone (ask for permission to use blackmarket here), or just purchase one from the store / online if you have money.

The admins / mods can do an IP check to be sure he was hacked, and if he was, they could search that IP to see if it was a different OSBot user that did it. Other than that, you can't find out.
