I've been botting for around a year now, and I've gotten probably that many banned as well. When my bands hit yesterday, 1 was on my home IP, 1 was on a proxy. The one on my home IP was perma since it was the 2nd offense, the one on the proxy is a 2 day ban. I wasn't flagged. In the past, I used to run a whole bot farm on my house IP, and I'd experience chain bans for gold farming, and that hasn't happened once ever since I started using proxies

I've never gotten a ban on a merch bot, but I only sell items, I don't constantly buy / sell, so I don't run it 24/7. No bans so far tonight, but got 2 bans yesterday.
