I used to come to this site for Runescape botting but now I come for the amazing crypto trading advice everyone seems to have! I sold my house last week and am following all the advice posted on forums.

@The Undefeated @HeyImJamie You both are correct. If you write a script properly, it shouldn't really need much maintenance apart from slight content changes. If you want to expand it - that's a different case. Now it depends greatly if you're developing it as a hobby or as a way to make money. In my opinion, script prices are rather low, so unless you want to make some nice $ probably impossible to do with 1-2 scripts. Probably no one here is trying to make a living from developing scripts (check software developer salaries). It's probably a hobby to some extent. Regarding customers - naturally they have the right to be pissed if the script they paid for for an agreed price doesn't work. Especially due to some minor bugs/changes like one extra option in tutorial island dialogue. Takes a maximum of 30 minutes to check, code, test and push. If you got bored developing a certain script (it's a hobby) and it eventually requires a ton of maintenance (due to content changes and not cause it didn't work to begin with) I do understand the scrripter not giving a f for a few bucks. Pretty hard to balance out being ethical and "being a slave"

Absurd amount of time? If you can script properly, your script shouldn't break every update and small fixes won't take hours to fix.

People are expected to maintain their script for an absurd amount of time for little to nothing is what I'm saying. If you can't understand this, you've not been in the real world yet.

We already have monthly payments. If you only support those, you can't ask $8 a month for a Pest Control script. What happens is the user buys it for 1 month at a price of $2, gets the Void and there goes the money for OSBot and the scripter. If you can't take the responsibility of maintaining a script, you shouldn't release one. Earning less than you expected isn't a valid reason to update/fix your script less frequently.

Now that's smooth.

OSBot really should move to a monthly payment / auth system. 1, it'll bring more money for the company and 2, it might motivate scripters to continue to put in the work. Why you guys expect everything to be 100% perfect all the time when all you've paid is a couple of bucks is beyond me.

Allow the script to finish the quest from start to finish for best results. In order to use armour/weapons/spells during quests, gear presets have to be created first. Equip the desired gear and set the attack style in game, then press the "Load Worn Equipment" button at the bottom left of the GUI, then give the preset a name. Click on the "Set Gear" button on the right side of a quest to set the gear preset to be used for that quest. If you want to use a combat spell for fights, make sure you are wielding a staff and have set the spell on offensive autocast. Only normal spells are currently supported. Ranged is not fully supported at this moment. Make sure you set the desired attack style in game to avoid gaining wrong XP. After selecting the desired options, either press the "Start" button to begin, or save the current settings by pressing "Save Current Settings" and giving the quest preset a name, and later running it faster by pressing "Run Saved Preset". You can delete gear/quest presets by right clicking them on the selection dialogue Special Mentions The script will stop upon death on all quests, except for Waterfall Quest. It is strongly recommended that you have decent Hitpoints level (20+) before attempting quests that contain boss fights. The script may not be able to continue previously started quests. If you really have to restart the script while it's doing a quest, use debug mode to continue that specific quest. This feature is accessed by pressing the F4 key while the GUI is in the foreground (focused application). The GUI title will change to Stealth Quester (debug mode) while in debug mode, and when started will not go to bank or Grand Exchange so all required items are assumed to be in the inventory. Monkey Madness I has a hard-coded requirement of 43 Prayer and 25 Hitpoints Underground Pass has a hard-coded requirement of 25 Hitpoints, and will use a bow as weapon. By default the script will use willow shortbow & mithril arrows. This can be configured on GUI throgh the "Configure Settings" button on the right side of the quest. Protect from melee will be used during the paladin fight if the account has 43 Prayer. The script will not use any weapon or ammo you set in the gear preset for this specific quest, as they will be replaced with a bow and arrows, and the attack style will be set to rapid. The script can complete this quest with level 1 Agility. The ability for the script to complete the quest will be limited by available food sources if it fails too many obstacles prior to reaching Iban's Lair where unlimited food is provided. Beta Testing Mode Enabled via script GUI using F3 key during startup Make sure the GUI window is focused and press F3 The quests which are currently in beta testing stage will be displayed on the list of available quests Debug Mode Enabled via script GUI using F4 key during startup Make sure the GUI window is focused and press F4 Title will change to Stealth Quester (debug mode) This can be used to resume the script execution after being interrupted. It is not guaranteed to work in all cases, but will work for over 95% of quest stages. You can also use this if you don't want the script to check bank/go to Grand Exchange. Hey guys, the title is pretty self explanatory... watch out for bitcoin. The 26th the biggest future contracts come due and its been widely speculated that the whales are purposely oppressing the price of BTC in order to make money off of the futures contracts. I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing some action this week involving bitcoin and its price beginning to drastically increase again. Im not sure whether or not this will affect the alts though, because normally when BTC goes up the alts bleed. Although throughout all of January most alts are at an all time low... Either way, this will be an interesting next week or two!

Hey I already have the perfect Pest control trial and like it is there anyway I can buy it even though its off the SDN now?

I use it for this, it does work if you plan on staying there, banking/breaking does not work with this script though. There's a drop down menu "file" on the top left that allows you to save the config, just go to the wiki and check for garg drops then just add them and click the alch or noted options after you type the name in the loot tab. You'll probably have to set a fight zone and use the "only loot in fight zone" option because if an item drops halfway across the map thats in your loot tab this script will either run and grab it or just sit there with the mouse hovered over it until it despawns. Also a good idea to watch it if your kills are talking to long because the "loot while in combat option" doesn't work. It will only pick the item up if you either eat, pot or finish your kill so if it takes to long to kill the next one others will get your drop unless you pick the wait for loot option combined with the only loot my target option but this dramatically slows down your kill count.
