What would you like him to do? Ignore you? You don't understand how tiring it is to explain the same story to 50 people while 25 of them are complaining for irrational reasons. The ones who had higher priority (staff/scripters) were explained that he was away, well, because it actually matters. We love helping the community, but we aren't customer support. I can't speak for Maxi, only myself, and it gets pretty frustrating when everyone expects me to give them full explanations for all of my actions.

Lol? "What would you like him to do? ignore you?" No, the opposite.

Typing a sentence or two must really wear you guys out sad.png Even if it's more than that, it's still your responsibility.

There we have it again 'higher priority" where not everyone is treated equally

Seems like it

I didn't define you as customer support, but every community should show a bit more initiative.

Not 'everyone' expects you to give them 'full' explanations for 'all' of your actions.

Really? Isn't this what you're supposed to be doing here

My job is to keep the forums, staff team, and community rolling through. It seems to be going pretty nicely in my opinion. Laz, Maxi, and Zach's job is to debug and develop the OSBot client. I also feel that's going pretty nicely. You not liking what I told you in my last post is you being ignorant of what we actually do. You can't see the frustration because you haven't experienced it like we have. So, to answer your question, no, that's not exactly what I'm supposed to be doing here, although I do it anyway, because I care about OSBot just as much as the other Administrators. When Maxi is not at his pc, I'm not sure how you expect him to reply to you. It's not even his duty to reply to you unless it's fairly urgent. If I remember correctly, you wanted maxi to add a script to your account. Really? Honestly I feel your posts are taking us for granted. Our client is free, and you were going to receive a script for free. I don't understand the irrationality at all. Maybe you'll one day understand that we practically commit our lives to OSBot. As for the developers, the amount of code in the client is enormous. The time thhe developers put into the client and this community is just crazy. Programming the client for weeks on end, trying to allocate the time to fix all of the errors, bugs, general issues that arise everyday, acting as customer support agents, fixing the randoms, battling Jagex's constant updates and keeping the SDN in tact while paying out the script developers. For whatever reason it is you're upset, I can't comprehend why you're going about it this way. We mean nothing but good for the community and it's a shame you don't see it that way. Farewell.

Why am I even arguing with an amateur..

I have supported OSBot for a while, since the start. I was in fact, going to purchase sponsor. I'm glad I didn't.

I still don't understand why you're trying to counter logic with no logic at all, for this matter.

Maybe you'll one day understand that we practically commit our lives to OSBot

Didn't see this coming Liam bbi.
Unless the others I do understand your frustration and opinion on this.
I highly agree with the 'we need more active staff' or atleast someone who gets updated by Kati once in a while so whenever people (e.g.: Liam) have problems or aren't sure why or what has happened to the staff that they can't reply, they can go to THAT PERSON. A community dude or something.
I'm not saying that if a member of the staff has IRL issues, or just problems that are more important than osbot , that he should post it all over the Forums.
No, I mean like they should atleast give a warning of their coming inactivity. This has been done on alot of Forums already so I don't see any problem why we couldn't handle this on here too.

The way you're argueing with Kati is a bit inappropriate, you have to be polite and indeed have respect for what they've accomplished TOGETHER.
Everyone who's commenting on here and flaming on Liam for this thread is just ass licking the staff.
Liam has a point, doesn't he? Yet I find it a bit immature to quit right after this misunderstood situation.
This is more like a little rage quit because you haven't received what you asked for. The problem is that you don't know how many people are waiting too.
We can solve this problem very easily by adding more Staff Members and demoting the one's who aren't that active (over a long time).

I don't want to get any hate or sarcasm on my comment, if you can't handle it : don't post.

The admins get tons of messages from newbies asking how to download local scripts or how to download the bot or messages regarding thanks for making OSBot. I'm sure they don't have the time to go through all their messages just to find a legit question, like the one you're talking about. They reply to the staff instantly because most of the time, the staff doesn't have something useless to say. If they were to individually take the time to talk to everybody in the community like you want them to, there would be little to no updates from the mass amounts of spam/questions being asked in their inbox.

There can't exactly be hundreds, and it's not mission impossible to stay on top of the messages either. 10 seconds between each message? This doesn't just go for OSBot inbox, it's for Skype too. When Maxi said he was going to add something for me on Saturday and didn't, and ignored me ever since.

Yes, they get hundreds of messages. Now leave or come up with a good excuse.

Sad to see you leave. Who's going to sing the pokemon theme song now. tongue.png

Bye & the best of luck IRL.

Let's get a good thread revival here....I'm with Liam.

P.S it's not about the bot being in a good working state, it's about how the administrators care for the community.

This photo is from this thread http://osbot.org/forum/topic/10477-sdn-improvements-plan/page-3

I've spoken with brainfree and all he needs is one last thing to complete web walking. It's already done he can't do any more work without that last piece of information from admins.

Due to the circumstances, I can't pick a side. But my question is, if the staff are so fucking busy then they should hire some more fucking people to help them, they never ask! They never say: Ohh! And by the way, we would like some help with our randoms, if you would please take a moment to rewrite one with new IDs, that would be much appreciated!

I don't think you know what the admins have to go through everyday..
