My first assumption would be a browser based issue but I'm also going to assume you're both using Chrome too, so...

Yeha I've never had a problem either

The reason Elysian Sir had a problem was because his photo was too large
I made it smaller and linked it to him, tested it out and it works now (he went offline tho)

Might be differnt for those with access to ACP than regular users.

No idea what the issue is then, it seems to work for most people, I changed it for you. Next time, try using Gravatar to set your profile picture.
