Khaleesi
I'm not sure it detects different resistance since it's a powerful saw, like you said. Perhaps there's a system for detecting blood, flesh or similar, on the blade. It's just a guess. Ya probably if it detects resistance it won't help much .. haha ^^ I assume it works with small electrival charges in the blade, something like 10V.. If a human would touch the blade if he is standing on the ground, the electrical charge will be lost and the machines knows it has made contact with something that is connected to the ground. Good thing human conduct electricity fairly easy Since wood doesn't conduct electricity atleast if it isn't 30% saturated with water. but that would mean the wood will lose hes shape after being dried after the piece has been cut ^^ So nobody would actually do that ... Basicly like the relectricity works in your house, if you hit the wires the power will shutdown since the installation knew it made some kind of loss somewhere Either way I still want to see schematics of this machines Looks very nice Khaleesi Edited June 11, 2015 by Khaleesi

Good idea though

RServiceGeeks
I would let it get chopped off for about 10m + the $$ for the surgery to get it back attacked if its a fine cut.

Twin
I've been working work 10 year in construction, I daily work with these machines. This is so fake ... If you even hit a sawblade for 1/50 of a second you'll cut yourself. i've seen shit happen, en this kind of stuff is impossible ... xD In my highschool we had a table saw that was a sawstop on it and some kid triggered it. Gave him a little tiny paper cut, where otherwise he would have cut off his entire finger tip. https://youtu.be/eiYoBbEZwlk?t=245 Edited June 12, 2015 by twin 763
