Also got a little bored of it after like 1.2k hours lol and for the record, i'm not biased, I tried both (infact i tried league before dota) and dota is just better by a huge factor. Uchiha Sasuke Posted June 5, 2015 Share Posted June 5, 2015 I played Dota 2 for a while and it's extremely similar to LoL but with better graphics and it is harder than LoL as well. I personally didn't like it that much and neither did my girlfriend. We preferred LoL because it was quicker to learn and get into the game without watching any gameplay videos. spykids3d Posted June 6, 2015 Share Posted June 6, 2015 LoL is based off of DotA 1, Dota 2 is exactly the same as DotA 1 but on a standalone client that runs the Source engine.
