These are the items I want

 

all 4 god swords(ideally Sara and Arma)

zammorak spear

full bandos(minus boots)

full armadyl(minus crossbow)

Staff of the dead

 

Just thinking about the grand total makes me feel sick(and my bank is 120m for ffs!)

 

Anyways what's more practical/realistic buying all of these items over time or trying my luck at GWD until I get all of them?

 

I have 99 att,str,def and hp for the record. I will have 70 prayer when I decide to finally got to GWD. My range is 72 or 73 and mage is 84(both will be 99 by the time I finally go to GWD).

 

While we're on the topic of super rares in general what about zulrah drops? Are they more practical/cost effective when bought or won in battle?

I am not really much of a social person primarily so it never occurred to me to go with a team.

Is it really necessary or better for profits overtime instead of going solo and getting a rare drop for yourself?

With a team the kills per trip probably increases more than the multiple of team members. I'd say 3 or 4 is the max I'd team with.

MOST boss items are more beneficial to obtain by getting the drops yourself.

 

The only time you should really need to buy the items are if you need them instantly or are very time restricted for whatever reason.
