I own a Chromecast.

I personally love it.

Is it good?

I was thinking of getting one but then I sold my tablet.

Any smartphone will do as well for remote.

I think it's really tempting to buy for the price.

Yeah, I know. It's like $25, right?

Free stuff, haha.

$30-35 in the states.

A little bit more in EU.

It's definitely worth it to buy one. You can stream netflix/popcorntime, youtube or photos/videos from your phone to it.

I use it all the time to watch films/series on tv using my phone. No need for laptops anymore to connect to the tv. biggrin.png

i own one. it's great.

I use it to stream:

netflix

youtube

"download" movies from the interwebs, stream it from my plex server on my computer using the plex app for android

stream movies from popcorn time

stream movies from HD Cinema, with the help of Localcast

I can pretty much watch any tv show and movie i want.

Eh I just use my old 360. It can connect to youtube, netflix, bunch of other apps, and it plays games :D
Of course its much bigger then the chromecast and you have to use a controller not a phone or tablet.

Put it this way, you can even stream your Google Chrome tab, so free movie/TV show sites can be casted perfectly as well.
