Is This Allowed

Featured Replies

Is it allowed to takes someones script for botting like woodcutting, and use their code as a backbone for a new script?

It obviously will not be copy -> pasterino -> $$

Without their permission it's not.

using a framework is one thing (states, tasks, nodes, etc) and maybe a couple methods, but you should be able to formulate your own logic for the script.  If you can't, you probably shouldn't be using someone else's code, you should be learning to make your own logic

Using another person's code isn't allowed on osb As far as I know.

if you are looking for the proper way to use it,

Ask the person for permission to use the code, if they say yes then you can use it bit I would suggest citing the source.

If the code is posted and the person stated that it's open for reuse, you can use it and cite it, unless you plan to sell the script and make money from it.

In any case if you are planning to resell the copied code I would advise against it.

and I'm sure alek has all that code you want to use(yes i know where its from), so he probably won't allow you to put an SDN script with a majority of code that he knows you didn't write
