What keeps runite ore at a constant 10-11k per ore? I know you can trade rune ore for tokl and eventually get onyx's but what other uses are there for runite ore?

Not to mention, the runite rocks are either alone or with 2 other rocks. And the best place to mine Runite is the wild.

There are already 187 people on oldschool with 99 smithing, so shouldn't there be an oversaturation of rune items on 07 including drops from monsteres, and clue scrolls? Also making rune items isn't even profitable. People only need 1 rune pickaxe and 1 rune hatchet, as well as 1 rune set also. What are some other reasons?

Not really.

The main demand comes from bolts and knives.

Also keep in mind that rune ore is extremely slow to gather.

    pking with knives and such isin't really a drain, it's not like you can't pick up the knives after pking or getting pk'd.

     

    Rune ore is just really hard to come by.

     

    Lots of it is alch value.

    Ah, yes, I'm looking at rune2h and their alch value is 38k while it takes about 33k to make

    Pking gear

    Bolts

    Etc...

     

    now that F2P is out, its one of the best ore to create ^^

    I remember when I use to have 8 rune ore bots making me 25-30m a day and selling all the ores to Krimsonkueen who is #1 for smithing. 

    Rune miner pkers, i alch most of my rune items.
