How to download android apps?

Featured Replies

Usually just type the android app you want on your phones browser, find a solid .apk and download it.

Just make sure your phone is rooted.

I have a tablet and it isn't rooted. Thought it didn't have to be?

If its not rooted just download thru the playstore.

However I thought you need a rooted device to install 3rd party .apks

I mean if you got to settings and turn on allow 3rd party downloads or something and then download a random paid app for free of a website to test it, it may work.

Best bet though for actually downloading the apps is to find out the apps you want and then do a xxxxxxxxx.apk google search and bobs your uncle

I already downloaded an app - Osmosis HD - and it's working perfectly. However, I looked for other apps and it's annoying finding it. It either doesn't download or when it does download, I can't open/install the file.

I can install third party software/downloads, I just need to change the settings. I've already done that and I'm looking for apps, however, it gets annoying. Just wondering if anyone knows any one good site to use so I don't have to go scavenging through every link in google just to come up dead.

Couldn't get anything on there. :/

Just found this site called 'apkmania', but soo many pop ups...

My friend used something called 4shared I think. That was a few years ago so I'm not sure whether it's still good or not though
