PolishCivil Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Um I heard that only Alek decide who can be OSD or not. For me this is kinda unfair because one person can do alot of mistakes. My suggestion is to make all actual Official scripters to vote. More votes - less mistakes. To make it more reliable lets every vote have comment like why I vote for no/yes ( few points ) Edited May 21, 2014 by PolishCivil
PolishCivil Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 He is my friend I vote yes! That's why u need to prove why 'yes'
Nitrousek Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I agree, this would be transparent, and is used on some other forums and worked well overall. Personally, I find it disgusting that devoted members like me, don't get OSD, while "Dashboard", guy who was banned for acting like a child and releasing DOX on devs, comes back and is instantly promoted. Way to go OSBot, yeyy. 4
Eliot Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 That's why u need to prove why 'yes' Cuz he helped me and is smart ty 1
Swizzbeat Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 YES @PolishCivil suggested it This is democracy Being able to comment on applications can lead to discussion that can benefit the applicant 4
Pandemic Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I think this would be a good idea, but there are issues with it too. What if one OSD doesn't like that applicant? I doubt everyone will stay objective and impartial, but I do like the voting idea more than just one person. 2
PolishCivil Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 YES @PolishCivil suggested it This is democracy Being able to comment on applications can lead to discussion that can benefit the applicant @2 This is first forum i see where only few people decide what to do... This is really weird. Cuz he helped me and is smart ty I mean 'code' comment prove.
Nitrousek Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) YES @PolishCivil suggested it This is democracy Being able to comment on applications can lead to discussion that can benefit the applicant Well, it's not really a democracy, democracy is if every member was allowed to vote. This is different, and better - democracy is actually a bad system. 80% of people on the earth are dumb, and two of those 80% have more right to say where a university professor should send his children, because democracy. I think this would be a good idea, but there are issues with it too. What if one OSD doesn't like that applicant? I doubt everyone will stay objective and impartial, but I do like the voting idea more than just one person. Alek already dislikes me, what can be worse XD (assuming since dashboard=OSD, me!=OSD) Edited May 21, 2014 by Nitrousek 1
BotRS123 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I am sure @Zach can say otherwise. I don't mind the idea as long as the "higher ups" don't have a problem with that. 1

If that is the case, then we should have the opportunity to speak our opinion. It'd be nice if it counted more. Of course, idm if @Alek had the final say since he is the manager. 1

Kittens Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 support all of polishcivils suggestions, makes more sense to have all the OSD's and etc and the few scholars as well decide if someones fit for OSD or not 100% support for the java wizard xd 1
