I input my proxy via the new proxy loader in 1.8.7 and I get the following error:

The proxies work just fine, i tested them with another client. Any idea why its not working? They are user and pw authenticated.

I think there's an issue with username and password authenticated proxies following a thread earlier this week, the issue has however been reported to the developers.

Hey, I have the same problem. I've talked to Mikasa (and he spoke with Zac), this has been fixed and will be released in the next update. For now you can use this guide for your proxies;

Yeah, so do mine.

So there's just an issue with when you input username:password

So we'll just have to be patient until the next client release
