Pikachu111
There should be some sort of application process for people to apply for to even get the Scripter rank, which allows them to put scripts on the SDN. From there I do agree scripts do need to be regulated heavier, as once great methods have now been destroyed due to free scripts. I do have a fix for that though, it's called INSTANCING. How would you instance a local script without it been piss easy for anyone to get around it?

I'm talking about SDN scripts of course :p and that wouldn't be to hard at all. Just authenticate with your own server.

Oh, when you said free scripts I just thought local due to the fact most free scripts are local. But what happens if the scripter doesn't want to add instancing etc. I think the best method would be to slowly get rid of the local scripts and speed up the SDN applications. I have to say I disagree here. Why would OSBot bother hosting certain scripts on their servers if it's something like an alcher? It's just a waste of space and resources.
Eliot
Having an SDN script is really easy, however having a premium one seems to be very easy as well. Although I may not be a scripter, I have seen many scripters make premium scripts, then leave right after with money in their pockets. This may leave customers without updated scripts, which leads to refunds. The purpose of the thread is to make the scripter rank harder to obtain. Right now, it is very easy. We should be harsher on this, sort of like another bot that starts with a t. Some premium bots should not be allowed. For example, theres already what, 2 dedicated scripts to laws? There should be a max of lets say 3. We should also remove of free versions, for example a free law script that does everything the premium ones do. This will lower the profit gains of the paying users, while the free users are swimming in more money because their script is free. Local scripts should be monitered heavier, with the same control(free law crafter). It would be nice to see another SDN Manager too! I disagree with most of this. I don't think there should be an cap on premium scripts that do the same thing, and free scripts should never be removed because there already exists a premium version. Some people script for profit, some script for fun, some script for both, but OSBot shouldn't be limiting the market or picking favorites.
Guest Apogee
If the free script is made first, then why would you remove it if a premium script is made just like it?I agree on some points, but strongly disagree with others. Maybe make premium scripts have a minimum standard that you must be able to meet around the clock, but to flat out say "only some people should make scripts durrhurr". A community will never grow in a place where people are only considerate of themselves and of people at their skill level. I plan to release premium scripts in the future once I get better and learn more. The fact that I'm new shouldn't prevent me or others from being able to make scripts. tl;dr. Penalizing people due to them not being on the same skill level as you is stupid, especially if they're trying to learn.

Then what about a 'lite' mode from some of the premium scripts, like maybe they can only be ran for 1-2 hours, and once you pass certain stats, you have to purchase the full version? NotoriousPP
So wait, people are seriously arguing that you would rather have piece of crap scripts litter the SDN just because it lets people "learn". If their learning, go ahead learn, you can test locally... It doesn't mean you should have a script on the SDN, to me it means almost the complete opposite. To have a script on the SDN should be a reward for handwork, not a passage way for kids who just Googled Java to make a quick buck.

Some new guy comes along, makes a badass woodcutter that is better than yours for free. Isn't that a dick move?
centrino345
Sorry, but I don't agree with removal of free scripts, (clearly not a leecher, I have vip and 2 premium scripts). Free scripts create competition. I do agree with the cap and heavy monitoring though. Just like you, I'm sick of one hit wonders making it to sdn and then forgetting about it once they've made their $$$.

Soldtodie
No this is a competition when a free script is better than your premium script you must think about that what you did wrong.
Guest Apogee
Alright. Let's say you make a premium script for woodcutting(just an example). Some new guy comes along, makes a badass woodcutter that is better than yours for free. Isn't that a dick move? The entire point they are premium is because they are generally better. If the product is good enough, consumers pass up the free stuff and buy the better stuff. This obviously excludes leechers. At the end of the day, if that does happen, update your script to top theirs. Premiums should be updated often anyhow.
