Hacking + Reverse/Social Engineering Forums

Alright, I think this thread has kind of lost the general idea for what I was proposing.

I wasn't suggesting a place where you can go and see threads that teach you how to RAT, DOS, etc. but more of a place where you can go and discuss the most effective ways of penetrating a system or keeping yourself secure. Everyone benefits from this.

That's a very small audience you're targeting. We get 1 thread like what, once every few days/week?

You guys have programming boards.

And you guys have hundreds of other discussion boards to talk on? Whether you like it or not, just like all other botting forums, this is built on programming.

You're right, the client is built on programming. The community and their discussion(s) are not.

I'm trying to have a conversation, don't be stubborn about it. Just as you said there's other forums for programming related discussion, but at the same time multiple other boards are geared towards community discussion. You're so quick to shoot down a suggestion that you don't understand.

hacking in all reality is nothing but pure knowledge for one example and tools and such are made by programmers witch in fact uses programming, so you are wrong about hacking having nothing to do with programming, i think it would be a great addition but if any one try's to send there little "legit.exe" it needs to be an instant ip ban, it really can help the community and there will always be a side of people that disagree and people that agree, so why not just let us have this thread where we can share knowledge, not all hacking related tools and such are malicious i myself am a grey hat hacker witch mean i like to social engineer and do sorts of stuff like that, anyways this post is directed to no one individual but to the whole community as a whole.

I'm refuting your statements, how exactly is that being stubborn?

Both parties are entitled to their own opinion, I respect that. I understand the suggestion, hence why I continuously post and defend my argument.

I'll stop since you appear to dislike it. ^_^

I'm already aware of this.

Anyways, there's communities specifically for topics like these. If you're interested, go there. OSBot is not the place.

@Staff if you're going to deny this because of legal reasons (which don't exist, stop using that as an excuse) then please reconsider. There's numerous sites that feature this kind of talk such as hackforums, javahacking, elithecomputerguy, etc. Youtube even has a plethora of playlists dedicated towards teaching people how to compromise systems.

You just answered yourself there. There are other forums that specialize in that kind of stuff. . .

For those kind of things, people usually want straightforward expert knowledge and advice. Here on OSBot there would be too many discrepancies.

I'm going to be honest, I really like the proposal. I love that we would be able to offer information, however, I do not think the members of this community are mature enough to handle the information given to them in this section in a responsible manner. Most of them will go at it with a mindset of utilizing it maliciously rather than using it to prevent themselves from being compromised.

Again, I like that you suggested it. The members of this community just aren't ready for something like that. I can see multiple situations where it could lead to conflict.

(I think we should focus on making our programming section more active before we introduce a topic such as Security ;)).

I like this kind of topic, but with this kind of topic, it could get pretty ugly in terms of people attempting to hack each other and stupid people actually falling for it. Besides that, the developers may have to worry about legal issues at one point. If you say legal issues do not exist, then I don't see why not besides competition and stupid people.

I can't access JavaHacking :( They broke.
