My Definition: Bot on your accounts with it. Always use a proxy while using a vps. Most of the time a vps is flagged. 

 

VPN:

VPN is a network that is constructed by using public wires — usually the Internet — to connect to a private network, such as a company's internal network. There are a number of systems that enable you to create networks using the Internet as the medium for transporting data.

 

My Definition: Hides your ENTIRE computer. Usually sold by a company. You can achieve the same by using a proxy. 

 

Proxy: 

Google Defintion: N/A

 

My Definition: Basically the same thing as a vpn, except you are given the ips itself and the authentication for the ips(if any).

why? I'm so glad i was linked to this thread, so much misinformation regarding vpn/vps/proxy services and i'm so happy i finally understand the differences. it's been the only thing stopping me from goldfarming now i can give it a try!
