Where do your moral values come from

 

I don't need another person to tell me what is right and wrong. I am a strong enough human to be able to not rape 3 year olds on the street without a higher power to tell me that

I think religion comes from first-hand witnesses of the hundreds of thousands of prophets and the Holy Books.

 

Some people think ignorant about the books but they are factual, with lots of knowledge.

 

In the end though, it comes down to "Believing in the unseen".

Religion ≠ Facts, that takes out the whole idea of faith.

Faith is something for the weak minded. It's something for people who feel like they can't accomplish things on their own but when they do, they credit it to "god." It's pretty degrading if you ask me.

Yes , I do believe in god.

I've been questioning myself about this question for a few years, however I did come to an agreement with myself that I do not believe in "God". However, I do believe in parts of the story.

 

My parents were very religious people, however one car ride with my dad about a month ago, I spent about 50 minutes explaining my reasonings and how I viewed the topic as to why God is not real, or rather say, how the bible is complete bull shit. After my points, they agreed, which surprised me.

 

I've always wanted to make a post on here during that time of when I was confused and give my reasonings, I think i'll do that on the weekend tomorrow, because I actually make some valid statements IMO and I'm not being rude toward religion at all.

Well as great as this quote may be it still doesn't cover all the issues. Let's say muslims are correct and let's say you ate pork, masturbated, etc. Although you lived a good life you still did things against the eyes of Muhammed. So if he were to exist you living your good life would be meaningless and he would still punish you.

Am I going to Christian hell, the Chinvat Bridge, Hades, Jewish Hell, Islam hell, Samsara, or the Bardo? My spirit is going to be very busy if I have to go to all of those hells for not believing in any of those religions. Congratulations, you're a christian. You're going to the Christian heaven.... and ever other religion's hell. How is that going to work? It doesn't.

I think we've evolved as humans so much that religion is just incredibly irrelevant nowadays. As time pasts it will continue to become more and more irrelevant that I think one day it'll just be pointless for everyone. We didn't stop evolving at disposable thumbs. We will continue to evolve until religion is completely dead and even continue to evolve after that.

Religion gives people guidelines to follow , and God makes people feel like there not alone, he also makes them scared of his power and judgement (which makes allot of people follow the "guidelines").

 

There is nothing wrong with religion until it creates wars , arguments and racism, this is why I don't believe in religion (Also I don't believe we all came down from 2 people).

 

Science is just theories backed on evidence, We will never know the answers.

 

But I can tell you one fact, I'm sitting here typing and I'm happy , why you ask?, because I don't get into these petty arguments about religion.
