I wrote a paper proving there is a God. @Natsu helped me a great deal throughout the paper, and if I can find my USB I'll post the paper here.

I'm just curious on whether you believe in God or not.

I do believe in God, and I'd love to read the paper once you've located it.

I can already smell the future flame / drama this thread is going to cause.

Anyways, I personally believe that there is a higher power that created this world, but I'm not quite sure what it is yet. I'd rather believe in something than nothing at all. ^_^

I don't know what's real and what isn't, this world brings in different theories. I guess it all comes down to yourself.

Many people are like that. Including friends of mine

Will do. I'll let you know I received an A on the paper. However, my teacher said that the points weren't convincing. He said in 6 years of teaching only 1 student has proved it correctly. He told us the correct way, and I'll write up a summary of the idea once I find my paper.

Lol, you can't prove theirs a God as much as I can't prove theirs magical fairies flying around that rape children at night. I'm not saying that it doesn't exist, but I'm not saying it does either. You can write a 1000 page book disapproving/approving it's existence but it's something you'll never know until you're dead. /thread

I really think I believe in him now, even after I had thought I was an atheist. It's amazing what members of a botting community can do to change religious views <3 (@Smart/@Maldesto)

Where do your moral values come from

Honestly life is shitty not believing in a higher power, so yes.

Lmao. I can't prove that God doesn't exists, but I can prove that there are plenty of other explanations for how the world is what it is today.

There are flaws in all the theories out there

In a sense. However, evolution (for example) has been proven true. It's a common misconception. And before you call it a THEORY of evolution, gravity is a THEORY, too. I know gravity exists.

I definitely believe in God; however, lots of times I have trouble keeping faith. It seems like there is a constant battle in my head of things that prove there is a God vs things that disprove it.

Evolution is merely a change(particularly an adaptation) over a period of time. I'm a christian and I still believe in the basic idea of evolution.

Faith is something for the weak minded. It's something for people who feel like they can't accomplish things on their own but when they do, they credit it to "god." It's pretty degrading if you ask me.

I disagree again. I firmly believe in making my own decisions despite what my religion is, even if it goes against my religion. I've never relied solely on my religion for anything I've accomplished or any task/challenge I've faced..

I see you're reasoning for not believing in a higher deity but please don't assume the rest of us are ignorant baboons that rely on some unknown person for help in our every day life. I don't even remember the last time I prayed for help, doesn't mean I don't believe in it tongue.png

I view religion as basically an idea that people can hold onto to give their lives meaning. Everyone needs a purpose and to be given hope when times are tough. No one wants to admit their screw ups and instead would rather point at the sky and go "God has a plan for me, that was meant to happen" instead of facing the fact that they messed up.

With that being said I don't believe in God at all and never will. I'd rather live my own life then live my life to impress some head honcho in the sky.
