Do they plan on fixing client crashes?

Featured Replies

If we are never going to get OSB2, can someone please find out when the F they plan on fixing client crashes?

And maybe fix the isUnderAttack

Honestly, this would be amazing. plz

Honestly I didn't consider this before making my $100 donation and it makes me uneasy. All the delays idk what is up with that. And there isnt even an explanation for the delays, the time crunch just comes and goes, a new date gets thrown out, comes and goes.

I just assume it is a tedious and time consuming quality assurance process, they make loads of money off subscriptions so I don't think they are scamming anyone, they could have just stayed with osbot and continued that. So just stay patient

It blows my mind how it seems like all of the script writing people are just told to tell everyone 'oh the client is broken.' While, the devs/admins just say 'the hooks are broken, wait for updates.' Every update breaks the client more, though rather than addressing previously broken things...

The issue is not the client. It's not the clients fault it shuts down, if it was there would be many more reports. The issue is CPU/Memory related and has to do with your own computer as stated countless times.

If your question is - "When are they going to reduce the CPU/Memory usage?" Then that would be more liable to an appropriate answer, however blaming the client for closing down when it is your own computer in which is enabling it to do so is just stupid.

1) Your client can close due to a leak in your CPU/Memory thus causing your computer to overload and force close the client.

Known causes for this issue:

  •  #2
  •  #3
  •  #4
  •  Adverts (If you are a free user), yes these adverts indeed help with this issue.
  •  Having other programs open can cause this event to occur, just make sure you are not over clocking your CPU/Memory.

2) Your connection is having difficulties connecting to the server in which you leave your PC, you log out and you continuously attempt to connect to the OSBot servers which causes a massive increase to your CPU/Memory which then increases the chance of #1 happening.

3) Your connection is having difficulties stabilizing and continues to disconnect/connect to the server, in which you go online/offline constantly. This effect causes a massive increase to your CPU/Memory which then increases the chance of #1 happening.

4) The server itself is having trouble stabilising and is either under a DDoS attack in which you cannot connect to the server and the above happens.

I sure hope so...

@Gilgad, I can confirm that the client is at fault, it has a memory and CPU leak (run the client for about 6 hours and you'll have 0 fps and the client will just crash).

Also, a properly made program won't crash at all, especially if it's an issue with your internet connection or server status.

@OP:

OSBot 2 won't be out for while, sorry to tell you :(

For all you bitching about the date being moved back and forth. Maybe consider they have come into bugs that need to be fixed. You may not have much experience or background in programming but a big project as this isnt an overnight thing. People have lives and im sure the creators of this aren't dedicated to this 24/7. If you dont like how this client is going go find another.

I sure hope so...

If it were the client there would be over 100 report threads a day. I have ran the current client for over 40 hours and my fps is still maxed with 3 windows. Yes, the client uses a lot of CPU/Memory, but it's not the client's fault, it's just how it is made, the real problem is your computer as it isn't good enough to support OSBot's requirements.

OSBot doesn't suit your computers needs, you need to suit the client. It's the same with any game you buy. A company makes the game, they say here are the requirements, if you don't have them, too bad, get a better computer. Same deal here.

It's the client, haha.

I doubt my new retina MBP fully maxed out has an issue running OSBot's client.

I've profiled the bot and you can easily see that memory and CPU usage increases over time, which means poor memory management on the client's end (memory leak).

This. If we think the memory/CPU is bad now, just wait for OSBot 2.

You don't seem to know what you're talking about. I'm running 12 Gigs of RAM with an Intel Core i7-3770k. I play league, run 3 bots at once (All with separate clients), livestream, and stream music etc from youtube with no lag whatsoever. My client crashes. If you tell me it's my computer that can't "handle the client" You're dumb.

Ever tried closing your other applications rather than opening more? Kinda defeats the purpose. "I have all these program's open, but one is crashing, I don't know why! Lets blame the program!".

The point is that my computer can handle it. I've botted with those programs not open obviously like when I'm not home or using the computer? The client still crashes. You just seem to make every excuse possible to defend the client when everyone else around you seems to realize what it actually is.

I don't believe it is a cpu problem because me running 2 small osbot clients will not overclock my RAM on a gaming computer that I used to multibox WOW with 3+ clients all at 80+fps and WOW requires much much more cpu then osbot does

Ok, maybe you are correct and I am just confused because I never seem to have this problem, I have never crashed.
