100% support im mad cus i bought yesterday script for 4,99 usd but free script work maybe better.. script should be more controled i dont have problem to pay for it if its will work good and not broke axe evry hour or stuck and not do anything then thats make me mad. and yefree scripts make the logs crash and rise ban so tooday its not even worth to release free scripts make it atleast 1-2 usd.

 

I like free things, thus I give people free things. No support.

 

I feel this thread was made in response (somewhat) to one of my scripts which is going premium should it be gotten to in a timely manner. 

Sorry guys, but this truly isn't a good idea, and for many reasons so hear me out.

1) Select scripts that can be abused should be forced to be premium

While in theory this sounds OK, realistically it simply couldn't be done. How would you define abused? And who would have the control to say if a script was forced to be premium?

2) Undercutting prices is not allowed, and all scripts should be the same price

This is probably the worst suggestion in this list. The beauty of the free market is competition, and with that comes better scripts and the consumer actually controls the scripts price, whether you like it or not. If every script (I'm assuming you mean the same type of script) was the same price, who got to set that price? Why should a third party decide what a scripter's time is worth?

3) Payment option to donate 100% of script sale profits to OSBot

I support this idea I think if you'd like to protect an items price while keeping the leeches away, this is a great alternative.

4) Limit free scripts to single use only (no multiple tabbing)

I have to disagree with this one, the only people that get multiple tabs are those who have already supported OSBot (whether it be VIP, Sponsor, Scripters, etc.) and why should they suffer?

Some issues are correctly standing, but sometimes things are inevitable.

The biggest proposal I like is the antileech single use of free scripts. That's currently being held back by the VIP standards of tabs tho. 

I highly agree with this for the future of the script it also increases accounts made on the site vip or not someone can make 30 accounts on osbot and run 30 free scripts so it also floods our site maybe they should only release 1 acct per ip so more ppl buy vip and reduse multis

If you even charge $1 that reduces the amount of leechers.

Earlier in this post I mentioned red flags and jagex I didn't mean that when certain amount of players are in one spot it sends it to jagex, I mean the mods and staff will notice the bots and it will get back to jagex and the mass banning will happen.

1) Most of us know what defines a goldfarming script. If it has the potential to be highly abused, or is getting highly abused, force a small price.

 

2) I see where your coming from, but undercutting would interfere with #1 as as people continue to undercut they would eventually get to free.

4) You bring up a good point. VIP/Sponsor/Scripters would obviously be allowed to use a free script for as many instances as they want, however the people who haven't done anything for the site would be limited.

Maybe the admins should limit regular users 2 instances at a time including bot tabs

As for scripts being forced into premium, I think that is unfair, but I do understand how you feel. Not everyone can afford to pay for scripts.

 

Undercutting is good, but if someone makes a script for $15 a month, which is a lot to others. I am sure someone will attempt to sell it for $10 or $5 to make it cheaper for others. This is a tough one. As long as the original price isn't too high, then prices should be regulated, otherwise, I think people should be allowed to sell for lower.

 

Donate to 100% to OSBot should be allowed, but the script should not be forced to premium.

 

Too bad the developers never implemented a method into the API to get a users rank. It's been suggested months ago. If it was a paid script, it would be unfair to limit the users based on rank. They both paid for the script, so why should one get more instances than the other.

 

I believe someone recommended this before and it was denied.

100% disagree, call me a leecher but you can't say that there are too many free bots.. Most of the free bots are flawed and there is only one or two that even work for half of the skills. I don't think you understand how many people don't own paypal ect. accounts to even buy a script, even if it's 99c it is pointless. There is only one or two fighting bots out there and that's in local scripts, LOCAL SCRIPTS. I'm not hating but just because someone can't own a paypal or anything like that doesn't mean that we "leech" sure a lot of us free users may "leech" but I don't think that "leeching" a free local combat script will hurt the economy at all? Also whoever said that there are too many free scripts, ok. The only free scripts are in local and there are barely any scripts in there at all. The thing that annoys me the most is that there are multiple paid scripts in the SDN with massive price difference. I understand that the script maker must benefit from their work but really, there needs to be more free scripts that work.
