OSBot CPU Usage. Please read.

Featured Replies

Hey maxi or any other mod. You think you could work on finding a way to make the bot use less cpu usage? I have a good comp not any thing fancy but still a good laptop. Anyways I can run two bots at once but it's a little laggy and sometimes the scripts mess up due to the lag. I know p****bot perfected there EOC bot so it takes up LESS cpu then a normal RS page would. I know that took them a while but could you please work on a way to lower the CPU usage it takes up. Great job so far though and a huge thanks to all mods and anyone who's put so much time and effort into this bot, It's improving so fast. THANKS!

Really? What script are you running. What is your OS? I can run 20 clients on one machine... I know I can only run 4 tabs per client however, so maybe try loading more than 1 client? Even though theo it uses more CPU it shouldn't effect you unless your hugging 100%.

I do hug 100%. My specs are 2.7ghz with 3.0ghz turbo boost.(Randomly when needed runs at 3.0 mostly for games) anyways I got 4gb of ram but only a duel core. So good for single and duel core games like really good. But once I try doing multiple of things while running two scripts such as fletching and fishing it lags quite a bit and miss clicks. I just hope they can find a way to lower it. If it's cut by even 1/4th it would make a huge difference for me and others with duel cores. Thanks!

What kind of dual core? Anyways, try low cpu usage.

Low cpu usage makes the scripts misclick. ALOT. Tried it multiple times. Also it's an AMD a6, a10 accelerated.

Running on road runner turbo, Best internet you can have in a single household not a business, For Maine at least.  Also a very good router. It's all my comp not internet.

a6,a10 which one?

From what I can tell, AMD's line of APU are pretty low end and aren't super high performance beasts. I have a desktop that I built initially as a media center with a desktop AMD A4-3420 ( also dual core and should perform like your processor) and it can also only run 1-2 bots smoothly. My laptop with an i7-3610qm on the other hand can run much more.

Currently running 5 bots, I have the same problem, lag that messes up the script from running properly, Maxi and the devs will eventually make it better I am sure, just a matter of time :D

I remember RSBuddy (should be able to mention it, since it's no longer a botting client) had a feature to allow us to disable graphical rendering to significantly reduce CPU usage by the bot.

It would interesting to see a similar feature implemented by OSBot.

A6-4400M

With that cpu, I wouldn't be too surprised but yeah I hope that CPU usage is decreased in future updates.

Too surprised for what? It's a pretty good proccesor and should run it fine. Idk why it lags and trust me I know every performance tweek out there and clean this computer so good so I know it's my actual comp.

Multiple clients, how?

looks intresting, off to work out then i'm going to read all of these above ^^

I can run 4 bots at once and two separate clients smoothly.

I'm running on Intel Core i3-2310M @ 2.10GHz

4.0 GB of RAM
