legal just cause of the massive expense it is to keep a harmless thing illegal.

legal just cause of the massive expense it is to keep a harmless thing illegal.

It has side effects?

it should stay illegal.

1. As many of you don't want to admit, it IS a gateway drug, not for everyone though. BUT everyone who has done such drugs such as coke, heroin, etc all have been potheads in their life and will see weed as a baby drug. But to people who don't smoke, it is far from a baby drug.

2. Yes there's a few people who smoked weed and turned out great, but that's not the case for the majority. Although laws won't stop you from smoking, marijuana stops you from achieving your true potential as a human being. Evaluate yourself and your life, think about your future too. Some of you may be well off, good education and such. But most of you who smoke are in your late teens and still rely on daddy's money and don't take any part in education.

3. If you're a drug dealer, you won't make any more money lol

4. For the majority of people, it makes you lazy, bipolar emotions, careless attitude, bad memory, etc

5. Yes many people smoke that is very true. But how can you imagine, especially in a North American society, where people who don't smoke(a massively larger number than weed-smokers) absolutely despise it, have to live in a community where that nasty smell of burning weed by some teenagers and hits them in the face wherever they go? Adults can smoke in their house no problem, but many teens have no where to smoke and will abuse the legality of weed and smoke anywhere they want, even if it bothers the people around them. It would bother more people than it is helping. You guys don't understand how disgusting weed is to people who don't smoke. I only realized this after I quit smoking weed.

6. If it were legal, the amount of weed smokers in North America would significantly rise and more people would start smoking other drugs, more people would turn to dumbasses, etc

7. Your IQ drops about 10 points when you're high. A lot of people like to say they work better when they're high or concentrate better in school. But if you think that and start smoking to do better in school, you will just get addicted to it and feel like you can't concentrate in class if you're not high. Then when you're sober in class you won't be able to concentrate at all.

For the majority, although it doesn't kill you, it still has very negative effects. But its other people who are influenced easily that ruin it for everyone. No matter what you say, it is a drug. It's just a plant but so is cocaine and every other drug.

I smoked a lot of weed in my life so don't think I'm being bias. But what I'm saying is true. Cigarettes kill people and they're legal, want to know why? Because cigarettes are a horrible drug that our corrupt government makes billions off of. Everyone that smokes cigarettes are fiend's for the government. If you smoke cigarettes you're fucking stupid because it does nothing for you except kill you.

I believe marijuana should be legal, then again I believe all drugs should be legal.

I understand drugs can be bad for you, but it's not the government's place to say what people can and cannot do unless it directly impacts others.

Should be illegal. The main problems with weed is addiction, dependence and the halt of critical thinking. It IS addictive, whether you go through physical withdrawal without it or not does not mean it ISN'T addictive. ALL potheads are mentally addicted, a few of my best friends say they aren't addicted, yet they spend money on it EVERYDAY and cannot go through daily life without it. Just because they aren't physically addicted doesn't mean they aren't mentally addicted. Not to mention it DOES have bad affects on a person. One of said friends has CVS, his doctor attributes his trigger to smoking, while he, suffering from weed addiction, says his doctor is wrong because the internet and his friends say weed has no harmful affects. Critical thinking power, zero. He continues to smoke daily and spend all of his money on it. But that ISN"T addiction?

The main problem behind it is the halt of critical thinking, not induced by the drug itself, but by the culture produced around said drug. Nothing negative can be mentioned about it, ever. Weed comes before all else. Oh it's just weed man, it doesn't do anything to you. It alters your brain. It makes you have zero ambition, it makes you spend hard earned money everyday. It get's you arrested. Why? To get high, the one and only reason. It's especially bad for the weak willed. Long story short, if you have to smoke everyday, you're addicted. I won't even get into the gateway drug part.

Everything is mentally addictive. Computers, video games, hobbies. This is societies problem put into a single event. They say its not addictive because it doesn't create a chemical addiction. people who have a addictive life style will find a problem of addiction with it because they enjoy it, just like video games.

second paragraph just made me laugh. The culture around it is a very artistic culture.

Your looking at a type of people rather than the drug and its effects. (at least to a population scale)

I'm against it, okay. It's a gateway drug, that's a fact a lot of times, don't deny it.  It dominates people lives (How many stoners do  you know? How well are they doing?)  It's okay I guess if you do it every once in a while. But ok, when you guys say it has medical bonuses to it? That's a laugh. Not ONE is proven and accepted in the medical field seriously.

it should remain illegal i believe. i am a prop 215 card holder and i love mmj but if it were legal there would be taxation thus making is more expensive it will become commercialized like marlboro camel ect there will more than likely be a thc rating limit meaning no more wax bho shatter crumble hash ect all of it gone. so no keep it illegal

woah wtf, i just like read a really long post after bong explaining the situation on it perfectly and it just magically disappeared?

lmfao that artical is a bunch of shit, its too biased that it misses the positive side of some of what it mentioned.

It said that drug induced driving would increase if it was legalized, Multiple studies have shown that legalizing weed lowers the amount of drunk driving significantly, It stated that weed is frequent in high way crashed, injury and death. but studies have shown much different.

it stated that if it were legalized it wouldn't stop the youth (like alcohol) using it underaged. Studies have shown that with weed legalized less younger people use it

keep it illegal people have died from it, people who say no one died from it. is retarded grow the fuck up.
