Well i just came back from my vacation from chicago and well i have a story... I was leaving my hotel and i asked my iphone where to go the phone the will lead you to hell it said take this route so i was like KK siri and well there was so much stuff going on the SOUTH-SIDE of Chicago you gotta stay away from. People looked at me driving down and the Everyone was like Shout... There was bumps in the road to slow me down . Wasn't very welcoming. I swear Siri said Screw you i will lead you to hell! Too Many ABANDONED BUILDING FOR MY TASTE

Moral of the Story. STAY AWAY FROM THE SOUTH-SIDE YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOMED!

Make sure you use google maps and not apple's maps! :D

I live about 45 minutes outside of the city in the south suburbs and I can confirm that south side is sorta rough. You really should stay on the express ways until you get downtown. Why would you take any side streets anyway?
