Back in July when you could get banned for just logging in with a client I ended all botting and stopped completely. However, is this still the case? I just started playing again and am curious as to whether or not I can bot.

Tbh not really, but there has been lots of bans recently. Just be careful don't get too comfortable and let it run by itself for long hours without breaks it's not as safe as it was back when 07 started, but it's definitely not bot busting season yet. After all bots are most of the RS community atm.

If you receive an instant ban when logging in I believe it has to do with your I.P being flagged. Other than that you should not be recieving an instant ban when just logging in.

I'd say that ban rates are much higher as of late.

 

Jagex has been rather aggressive recently.

 

 

I haven't heard of any bans related to logging in with a botting client though.

I've been botting since the second week of 07 on the same account, and I bot humanly 5-10 hours a day and only received a day 2 ban and kept botting for a month and still no ban!

I've been banned 3 times on my main and i'm botting right now. 4 lvls from maxed combat sure not going to train that legit

i think the rumours about opening a bot and getting instabanned are because of the way jagex sometimes bans bots.... e.g few days ago my account logged in for 2 seconds then immediatly logged out and i was banned... dunno why but that ban was for the day before.

No it was detected, I logged in on an acc that had never been botted on and boom instant ban.

i got banned on 2 mule acc's i suicided, and my main and pure have never been banned and i have them on regular breaks, hope this helps
