In regards to recent announcement

I'm just curious as to why the most recent announcement post has been locked when majority of users were voicing valid points and expressing their concerns.. 

As I'm sure you knew it would create backlash because of what's been announced but to close the thread just seems a cowards way of saying "It's our way and the communites voice is irrelevant" because you didn't like the criticism. (Just like me here voicing my opinion but it isn't rule breaking)

I believe they are trying to make the best out of a worst-case, once in 15 years situation. Non-runelite/hdos java botting has been killed yesterday, and runelite/hdos hooking is on life support

I get that but if you make a public post you have to expect people being unhappy and voicing their opinions etc.

They did announce something already and then closed the thread after backlash less than 24 hours

They've deleted the thread but it was saying with the new client switching from java to c++, all old scripts will no longer be available and you'll have to repurchase new scripts. And all life time roles will be lost/rendered useless and osbot will go to a monthly subscription for access (So no free access either)

Glad I skipped on that lifetime sponsor I was on the fence about last Christmas lol. But yeah, having to buy new scripts for the new client makes sense. The no free mode is annoying because I've mostly been cruising on free mode for a bit while I dumped a bunch of time into a (now useless) AIO script I've been writing T.T
Biggest L here in my opinion is I now have to learn Rust if I want to keep writing scripts. But in the end I think this will be better for OSBot, just have to suffer the transition.

Idk maybe life is not all about politics and you're opinions this site is ran the way the owners and staff want it ran if you don't like it you can simple join another community
