Keylogger.

You got keylogged. What you want to do is do CTRL + ALT + DELETE then go to taskmanager. Scroll all the way down till you see "winlogon.exe" 

 

If there are 2, close them both. The REAL winlogon will start back up, the keylogger won't.

You got a smart keylogger. Download avast anti-virus (free) and do a scan to find and remove the threat. Until you've done so I STRONGLY, STRONGLY, STRONGLY recommend you do not log into ANYTHING password protected. A keylogger records all keystrokes and sends them to some remote source where they can be accessed by the creator. If you are not careful you will end up with a lot more than a few pixels missing.

Also, have you downloaded any programs lately?

A virus scanner likely won't detect a rat / keylogger that automatically removes UAC privileges, and removing it from task manager will temporarily disable it until next boot, if that. I suggest you check your appdata or system folders. Those are likely locations that people have the server hide in.

You downloaded something, or a USB could have been inserted with the virus in it. Many many ways.

I recommend you go into safe mode after you've downloaded avast.

the best way ive beaten viruses was no anti virus, those are absolute shit against a fully undetectable virus. Any virus that is good enough to be FUD will usually screw with a few settings. In the past they used to disable task manager but they have gotten better to where they dont show up on a task manager. Plus they also might disable your AV and possibly block some websites. If you notice your PC's been messed with before the keylogger has time to steal loads of info, you can try resetting your computer to a earlier time (like if you figured out a virus just installed on your PC you can reset your computer to the latest date possible which will set your computer a few days back) I have done this before in the past and very successfully removed viruses. But now i hear they can disable restoring your computer, so then you might be screwed. Also preventing them is best, since there usually binded with other programs like music files or photos, when you open the song or picture it should normally just open right away, but if it ever says something like a program is trying to run and you have to click allow or dont allow, that is the virus trying to run since its a .exe but it cant install on your computer until you click allow or run.

still says i have winlogon.exe, under the username tab it doesnt have a name its just blank, however when i click on show processes from all users it seems to be a different one where i can actually open the file location, dont think i set a backup date on this comp ill have to check
