Will Runescape

My question is do you guys think that Runescapes Population will ever increase because i can see it decreasing slowly and i don't want this cause its a good game. What do you guys think?

I think the currently amount of players for OldSchool is what we'll stay at for a while. We'll always have people quit, but new people still join all the time. I think the average amount of players we have ingame will be the same for a while though (regardless of botters or not), 6000-20000 accounts online. Now that GWD is confirmed out I think more people are training and playing.

What annoys me the most is that people quit because 'no one plays'. The exact fucking reason no one plays is because people quit because not enough play, but if they just stayed and played the game they'd find that more people would join because there's more people on.

rs07 wont grow if jagex doesnt make it free.

i do belive that but if 07 become free more players will join cause more boters will be there in f2P worlds too..

in my opinion, it's slowly dying, like everything. just think how long runescape has been about. it's still a very popular game and will continue to be. jagex need to make f2p servers though, that's for sure

If they just opened F2P everything would be better.

It will die before long, everything has its time. More advanced internet games will come as technology becomes better and before long people will switch to something new!

i could see this being a valid point in 2007 maybe but we already have more advanced internet games out already.

I like Runescape more than other advanced computer games. :\ Hope it doesn't die any time soon. I will be bored as fuck.

At the minute, it's doing steady.

However, I do think the game both EOC and 2007 will eventually die, all things have to come to an end.

Theirs nothing unique in the game anymore, it's just a typical MMORPG.

Up until like 2009, it was a unique game, it'd be easily recognised by it's crappy graphics, the wilderness or the trade system. Now it just looks like a crap version of WoW in my opinion...

2007 is GREAT, but I do fear they'll end up killing that too. Adding new custom items, and adding features from EOC RS is making it look a lot like a RSPS.

I don't care if it dies, I just hope it's a fast death and not a slow one.

It's been decreasing but I think RuneScape will find ways to keep enough members to continue.

I think it's likely to have a player increase, but just as likely to have a player decrease. You'll just have to be patient and hope they make the right decisions.

Jagex making the right decisions? LOLWAT

It won't increase much more. Most of the players that like OSRS is playing OSRS. The other players and new players play RS3 because it is more advertised.
