Private scripts

Hi all,

New to the community as I only recently got back in to osrs, however I have been quite involved with other bot clients years and years ago.

I have a background in computer science and a recent interest in starting a mini-botfarm, as a hobby, that will mainly PVM (by mini i mean 5-10 accounts any more seems like it would be too much time/effort). Naturally with my background I will be coding the scripts myself, however before I spend time on this venture I had the question- how much do private scripts increase the lifetime of the account. I know this is a very broad question and will most of the time just be met with anecdotal evidence, but I'm curious as to how far you can get an account while running a private script 5-10 hours a day.

In my experience, it helps a lot.

Nobody can tell you "how far" you can get an account. It is far too dependent on many many different variables.

Understood, I'm just putting out feelers and gathering information, anecdotal or not

I think it helps if you want it to do something differently than the ones on the SDN. If you want something thats already on the SDN id just get that as it would be a lot cheaper

I would be writing it myself, so only cost is time

I made a super basic nmz script tht just rock cakes @ 0 prayer or prayer flicks rapid heal, one acc out of 4 got 2day ban (but i did run it ~8hrs that day)
